Was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1971

Studied photography at AR.CO and started working as a theatre photographer in France.

In 1996 started working on Portuguese daily newspaper, Público, embracing a photojournalist career. Between 1998 and 2006 worked on the weekly newspaper Independente and newsmagazine Visão.

In 2006 moved to Cordoba, Spain, here started develloping personal long term photojournalism projects, and began to freelance to portuguese publications as Visão newsmagazine, Visão Viagens, several corporate clients.

Since 2009 is a member of Via-Visuals, image agencie.
